Repeat Prescriptions
If you are on regular long-term medication, you will be able to order a repeat prescription. Our computerised prescriptions sheets have a returnable repeat request slip.

Prescriptions can be requested by using the NHS App, in person, or an electronic request from the pharmacy.

Prescriptions can not be requested over the phone. We do not accept any repeat prescriptions over the phone unless we know the patient to be housebound. We are happy to return your prescription by post provided you enclose a SAE.

All patient's with repeat prescription requests should make an appointment with their registered GP or a GP at the practice every 6-12 months for review of your treatment and health. Please make an appointment for a review with the doctor that knows you best.

All requests are checked for blood test and monitoring or medication reviews, Patients will receive a text if they are due for any blood monitoring reviews.

Please allow 72 hours if collecting and allow 5 days if enclosing a stamped address envelope.

Most local pharmacies provide the services of pickup and delivery once authorised by patients are able to visit during it's opening hours

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS - CORONAVIRUS
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all patient's are advised to contact the practice and provide the details of the pharmacy in which they would like to collect they're prescriptions. Rather than requiring a prescriber to authorise prescriptions by hand, electronic repeat dispensing (ERD) allows a batch of repeat prescriptions to be handled at one time

The prescription sign off period is still 5 working days, however there may be some delay to the Coronavirus guidelines that have been set by our Prime Minister on Monday 23rd march 2020, to ease the burden on the hard working NHS staff working during the current pandemic.

The NHS is also advising patient's who have been exposed to the to Coronavirus to self-isolate, which will require these patient's to find alternative means in which to collect their prescriptions. Please ask a friend of family relative to collect them on your behalf, paying extra care in the delivery of all medications as not to to them to get exposed.

Some pharmacist's may provide a home delivery service, please see our list of pharmacies and contact them if this is so.

We are sorry for any delays that may occur.

Please do not leave it until the last moment before making your request. You will be asked to see the doctor from time to time to review your treatment and your state of health.

Please note that the consultation time should not be used for repeat prescriptions.
